We're excited to introduce a significant update to our demographic data capabilities, designed to give more relevant brands insights and improve targeted selling. The key enhancement in this update is the transition from follower-based demographic data, which historically relied on social media followers as a primary audience source, to a targeted demographic model centered around your brand’s specific customer base.
What’s New?
This change means that instead of data based on social following who may be interested in a variety of topics that aren’t directly relevant, you’ll be able to target brands based on the demographic data of people who are actively interested in that brand's products or services. This provides a higher level of relevance and accuracy, and adds another angle to your prospecting
How to Access the New Demographic Data
- Navigate to the Demographic Targeting filter in the Brand level Advanced Search
- Select Demographic Targeting: You’ll see the options to choose from.
- Analyze and Implement: Review the breakdown of your key audience characteristics. Use these insights to inform your campaign strategies, including ad copy, creative assets, and media spend.

1. Why is this shift from follower-based data important?
Follower-based data, while useful, does not fully capture the nuances of a Brand's actual customer targeting. Brand-specific demographic targeting is tailored to a brand’s unique primary target customer profile, enabling a more accurate understanding of who they're selling to.
2. How does this affect our existing subscription?
It does't! You're automatically upgraded to the new demographic data if you already have the feature!
3. How often is the demographic data updated?
Brand-specific demographic data is refreshed periodically to reflect the latest information, ensuring you’re always working with current, actionable insights.
